Signature Cakes
A premade design is a cake with a set look—it’s already styled with a specific design pattern and frosting style. You can still personalize it by choosing the color, adding custom text, or selecting from available add-ons, but the core design itself stays the same.

Custom Cakes
A custom cake is made-to-order and tailored just for you. From the frosting style to the decorative details, everything is customized to match your vision and inspiration photos. This option is best if you have an inspo photo you want to replicate.

If you need to change your order, please contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled pickup. We will do our best to accommodate changes, but we cannot guarantee all requests will be possible. Changes requested within 48 hours of pickup may not be accommodated.

Yes, but we do have a cancellation policy:
- Orders canceled at least 48 hours before pickup will receive a 75% refund.
- Orders canceled less than 48 hours before pickup are non-refundable since we’ve already begun preparing your cake.
Yes, all orders come with an emailed invoice. Your invoice will contain your order #, order details and when and where to pick up your cake for curbside pickup. If you need another copy of your invoice, feel free to reach out.

Location + Pickup FAQ
We are a licensed home-based bakery in Salem, Oregon. Since we operate under Oregon’s cottage food laws, our exact address will be provided after your order is confirmed. For quick reference, we are close to the intersection of Madrona and Liberty in South Salem. Below is a map of our approximate location.

When you personalize your cake (on the order page), you will be prompted to select an available curbside pickup date and time. Please double-check your selection before finalizing your order.
Your order invoice will contain the exact pickup address and the time/date you selected. If you need a reminder of when your cake pickup appointment is, feel free to reach out at 503-877-9732 or info@salemcakeshop.com

We understand that life happens! If you’re running late or unable to make your original pickup time, please let us know as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate.
However, as a small business, our schedule is carefully planned to ensure every order is made fresh and ready on time. Any disruption in scheduled pickups not only affects us as business owners but also impacts other customers and their orders. Your cooperation helps us maintain a smooth process for everyone.

Late Pickups: If you arrive 10 or more minutes late to your scheduled pickup time, your order will be moved to porch pickup. This means your cake will no longer be brought to your car, and you will need to retrieve it from the designated area by the front door.

Missed Pickups: If your cake is not picked up within 1 hour of your scheduled time, your order will be canceled without a refund.
We cannot guarantee availability beyond the original pickup time, as all cakes are made fresh and perishable. Clear communication helps us ensure you receive your order in the best condition possible while keeping our operations running smoothly. Thank you for understanding and respecting our time!

Curbside pickup is available by appointment only from Thursday-Saturday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Please arrive on time, as we do not have a storefront for extended pickups.
If you do not pick up your cake within 1 hour of your scheduled time, your order will be canceled without a refund. To read more about our terms and conditions, click here.
To keep your cake in perfect condition:
- Place it on a flat surface, such as the floor of your car (not a seat).
- If holding a smaller cake, always support it from the bottom of the box.
- Keep your car cool with the air conditioning on, especially in warm weather.
- Once home, refrigerate your cake until about 1-2 hours before serving to allow it to soften slightly.

Allergy FAQ
Our cakes do not contain nuts as a listed ingredient unless specified in the flavor description. However, we operate in a shared kitchen where nuts are present, so we cannot guarantee that any product is 100% nut-free. If you have a severe allergy (of any kind), please do not consume our cakes.
